N. Pauline Rooks Fried, 97, passed away on Saturday, May 13 at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Elijah and Nettie Rooks, she is also predeceased by her twin sister, N. Kathleen Rooks as well as her loving husband, Edward Karl Fried whom she married in September 1955. She attended Maury High School and later retired from Glenrock Radiator. She was a member of Thalia UMC while singing in the choir, member of the Order of the Eastern Star while titled as Worthy Matron...

She was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Elijah and Nettie Rooks, she is also predeceased by her twin sister, N. Kathleen Rooks as well as her loving husband, Edward Karl Fried whom she married in September 1955. She attended Maury High School and later retired from Glenrock Radiator. She was a member of Thalia UMC while singing in the choir, member of the Order of the Eastern Star while titled as Worthy Matron of Eastern Star Bayside Chapter 181. She was also affiliated with Daughter of the Nile and Tidewater Business and Professional Women's Club. She is survived by her son, Robert Blair Lambdin of Orange, CA; daughters, Carolyn Ann Sullivan of Houston, TX, Betty Jean Holman of Virginia Beach, VA, Lois Eileen Holleman of Virginia Beach, VA, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm, Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with burial to follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
